In a town filled with sunshine, lived a friendly robot named Andy. Andy the Android loved colors. He had bright blue eyes, a yellow tummy, and red shoes. One sunny morning, Andy woke up and felt sad. 'Oh no!' he cried. 'My colors are gone!'
Andy looked at his hands. They were gray. He looked at his tummy. It was also gray! Even his bright red shoes were now gray. Andy felt like he was fading away. He needed to find his colors.
First, Andy went to see his friend, Bella the Butterfly. Bella had wings of all colors of the rainbow. 'Bella,' Andy said sadly, 'my colors are gone. Can you help me find them?' Bella fluttered her wings. 'Of course, Andy! Let’s look together.'
They looked near the big green tree. They looked by the round blue pond. They even looked under a square brown box. But they couldn't find Andy's colors anywhere. Andy started to feel even sadder. His gray body seemed to dim a little more.
'Maybe Old Man Otto can help,' Bella said. Otto was a wise old owl who knew everything about the town. They flew to Otto’s treehouse. 'Otto,' Andy said, 'I’ve lost my colors! What can I do?'
Otto blinked his big yellow eyes. 'Hmm,' he hooted. 'Colors don't just vanish. Think, Andy. What makes you happy?' Andy thought hard. He loved to sing. He loved to dance. And he loved to help his friends.
'I like making others smile!' Andy exclaimed. 'That's it!' Otto hooted happily. 'Your colors come from your feelings, Andy. When you're happy, your colors shine!'
Andy remembered that Mrs. Gable was sad. She was sad because her cat, Whiskers, was lost. 'I can help Mrs. Gable!' Andy said. He and Bella hurried to Mrs. Gable's house. 'Mrs. Gable,' Andy said, 'we will help you find Whiskers!'
They looked behind bushes. They looked under cars. Soon, Bella spotted a fluffy tail sticking out from under a porch. 'Meow!' A tiny voice came from the darkness. It was Whiskers! Mrs. Gable was so happy. She hugged Andy and Bella. 'Thank you, thank you!' she cried.
As Mrs. Gable hugged him, Andy felt a tingle. He looked at his hands. They were turning blue! He looked at his tummy. It was becoming yellow again! Helping Mrs. Gable made him feel happy, and his colors were coming back.
'Look, Bella!' Andy shouted excitedly. 'My colors are returning!' Bella clapped her wings. 'I knew you could do it, Andy!' To make Andy feel even better, Bella suggested a song. Andy sang a happy song. As he sang, his red shoes turned bright red again.
Andy the Android learned a very important lesson that day. His colors came from inside. When he was kind and helpful, his colors shone brightly. From that day on, Andy always tried to make others happy. And Andy was always a very colorful robot. And so, Andy continued his days, exploring the town and helping other people. He made his town a happy place to live in. And everyone lived happily ever after!
